My Favorite Places

Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (Favorites)

Rancho San Antonio - you can get any kind of workout you want here (including some ahem kickers!), see a farm, possibly rattlesnakes, bobcats, mountain lions, gorgeous wild turkeys...and views to God and back. Did I mention this is where my husband proposed?

Windy Hill - Straight up. Or so it seems. You can also meander up. Either way its a great place to hike, but pretty hot in the summer. Dogs are allowed on leash, but don't bring them. It's too hot.

Wunderlich - great place for families that want some exercise. Gentle sloping hills, woods, pretty and shaded. Great for summertime.

Purisima and Fremont Older - Two of my favorites that almost no one goes to.

You want the best possible place to bring your dogs for off-leash rompage?

Pulgas Ridge - It's got a huge, fun off-leash area and almost always really nice dogs. But make sure your dog is on leash everywhere else or you can get a ticket. Yes, I am still bitter...($234)...
