We recently used Michele Morrison to sell my grandmother’s home in Saratoga, CA. We were concerned about needing to move my grandmother quickly, but we also needed to let her feel like she had control of the situation. Ms. Morrison was referred to us by my Realtor in San Francisco, even though I was no longer in California. My mother, aunt & uncle were not in the immediate area, so we needed someone we could trust to help get the house in order as well as sell it when my grandmother was ready. Ms. Morrison was wonderful. She followed our suggestion to proceed slowly until my grandmother was ready to sell, and she did just that – she waited until my grandmother contacted her and said she wanted to sell. There was no pressure, no ‘harassing’ phone calls, just someone willing to work with us at our speed.
Ms. Morrison was also very helpful in tracking down information from the city of Saratoga regarding my grandmother’s home, and what exactly needed to be done to fix the house before putting it up for sale.
When it was time to sell the house, Ms. Morrison sold it quickly and painlessly for those of us out of town. She was in contact with the relatives who were legally involved in the sale, and she kept everyone else up to date.
It was a pleasure to work with Ms. Morrison. She was a Godsend. We could not have sold the house as quickly, nor gotten as much for it if it had not been for her professionalism and knowledge of the real estate market. Having used a less than stellar Realtor to buy our current home in Maryland, we now appreciate the great Realtors a lot more, Ms. Morrison is one of the great Realtors.

As a first time house buyer I really didn’t know what to expect out of a Realtor. But with Michele, the entire house buying experience was not as frightening as I had expected. I enjoyed the time she had to spend with us, her flexible schedule enabled us to find the right house very fast. One thing I really liked about working with Michele was that she was very patient with me as a first time buyer. She didn’t mind showing me a million houses, some of them more than once. She didn’t pressure me and helped me make the right decision. I think she about fell over when I finally decided to make an offer!
There was already an offer on the house I wanted, but thanks to Michele’s skill we outmaneuvered the other would-be buyers. Notice I said ‘Out-maneuvered’ not ‘out-bid’. I later ran into other buyers and I’m sure they would have bid higher if we had given them the chance. Michele handled things quickly and deftly, and we scooped the house from under them. There is no substitute for that kind of experience.

I am writing to express how please I am with the services of Michele Morrison. Michele has handled the sale of two different properties for me in the last 3 years.
The first property was my house in San Jose, CA, and sold 3 years ago. I had received Michele's name through a recommendation from a dive buddy in CA. My retirement was impending, and I was very concerned that I would be able to sell the house in a timely manner. Since I had plans to move to North Carolina, and wanted to use the proceeds to pay cash for my new house in Morehead City. Following Ms. Morrison's advice, we did some preparation regarding the appearance of the house, and then put it on the market. Within one day of the property being on the Multiple Listing, we had 4 offers, with 3 being $25,000 over the list price. After reviewing the offers with Michele, and at her advice, we countered the offer for an additional $5000. The buyer accepted the offer and escrow closed shortly there after. Michele's expertise and professionalism made the sale very smooth, and stress free. Needless to say, it didn't hurt to have the house sold for $30,000 over the list price.
The second property I listed was my deceased mother's home in Fremont, Ca. This was part of an estate sale for my mom's will. Michele helped me with the listing of this house as well. I had to wait a year for the Alameda Probate Court to issue Letters Testamentary so I had the legal authority to act on behalf of mom's estate. In the meantime time, I continued to see property values drop, and of course the barrage of bad news about the California economy. The sale was further complicated because mom had a reverse mortgage, and the loan balance exceeded the market value of the property. I also live in North Carolina, so the sale mad to be conducted by telephone calls, fax, and email. This added to my worries about how best to handle the sale of the house. Once I was able to list the house, Michele did an excellent job of coordinating the sale with me, the estate attorney, the appraiser and the reverse mortgage banker. Within 2 weekends of listing the house with Michele, we again had multiple offers, one that was $50,000, with it being an 'As Is' sale. With Michele�s help, we accepted that offer. The house closed escrow just this Wednesday, July 3. During the sale process, Michele was in constant contact with me, and that helped reduce the stress of selling mom's home. Again, the results of the sale, and Michele's service far exceeded my expectations.
I want to thank Ms. Morrison for all her help. With her level of professionalism, great communication, and dedication, I would not hesitate to recommend her to any client. She surely is an asset to the Serrano Group.
